Music and we're proud to be here. Carrollton is a great place to be!
It's a charming, diverse, and both historically and culturally rich
West Georgia city located in the foothills of the Appalachians.
We're not historians or experts, but at the very least we wanted to
create a links page that would enable someone to quickly find
information about our hometown. |
Basic Information
Named after Charles Carroll's old colonial home in Chesapeake Bay,
VA, and the county seat of Carroll County Georgia (nicknamed the
county of opportunity). Per the US Census site, the population is
21,878. Incorporated December 22, 1829 and nicknamed "The Friendly
City", Carrollton is home to The University of West Georgia. |
